I successfully completed doctoral study in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, USA. I am working in the area of applied and computational mathematics, utilizing neural and statistical approaches to address problems in biomedical engineering. Specifically, I am working on ultrasound signal characterization utilizing numerical, statistical, and soft computing approaches. I also hold a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Palacky University, Olomouc, Czech Republic. There, my interests were focused on fuzzy algebra, fuzzy modeling, and numerical analysis.
