Configuration Files

A snapshot of my configuration files from January 31, 1998.

If you find ideas in any of these files useful please feel free to use them, though they are not guaranteed to work for you. I can only say that about ten people are using them without any modifications.

.xemacs/init.el (AKA .emacs) (XEmacs 20.3+)

XEmacs configuration.

.xemacs/vm.el (AKA .vm) (XEmacs 20.3+)

VM mail reader configuration (for XEmacs).

.zshenv (zsh 3.0.2)

I am a big fan of zsh...

.tcshrc (for IRIX 6)

... just as I was a big fan of tcsh a couple of years ago.

.xsession (for IRIX 6)

X11 login startup file: environment settings, keyboard mapping, font path, etc.

.fvwm2rc (fvwm 2.0.45)

A snapshot of the resulting desktop. I use swisswatch, xfaces, and an xterm for error logging.

.Xdefaults (for IRIX 6)

Some small customizations for XEmacs, xterm, etc.

.screenrc (screen 3.7.4)

Configuration for the GNU terminal screen manager.
